this all just being A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM

2 Sep

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow —
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand —
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep — while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

I look at lips. To me, they are very sexy on women when they are just the right size. I\’m more attracted to eyes, but lips are next on the list. I like the fullness (makes kissing her more enjoyable), the way they move when she talks, the way the lips glistens when she licks her lips, and mostly the way they spread when she smiles ….. love it love it love it. And I have no idea how i got on this topic! :o) And now I need a cold shower.

Ha, that\’s one of my favorite poems, and has been for a long time. "Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream?"The best line in the poem. A profound question, unanswerable but wanting of an answer.

Hmm… it must be a very profound & rhetorical Q when my own lips are making me stir.I\’m jumping in a cold shower now, never mind getting lippy, hahaha!
