This poem was written by Connie Davidescu when she was in a very dark place. She just broke up with her boyfriend of almost 4 years, after a very long and painful journey to self discovery. He was a very controlling individual and at times he made her life a living hell. This poem is about getting the courage to leave and start a new life.

Scared confused mindless clone,
Delving deeper into the unknown,
my heart is bruised my soul crumbled
The deep despair of lovers rumbled.Control abuse delete forget
Feelings once shared are now reset
The chains you hold are now released
My soul is free my mind deceased.

What once was hate is now empowered
for this empty shell to be devoured
Your need for me has been replaced
My thoughts of you have been disgraced

The time has come to change the pace
Look ahead, erase, embrace
The change has come upon my sorrow
The tears will wait until tomorrow

Thank you for posting my poem! I came across your blog, when I was Googling my name (shhh you know you do it too!!)

It put a HUGE smile on my face to see that someone liked it enough to repost it on their blog.

    Thank you!!!!

Thank-you so much, Connie, for finding this within the past day or so & bringing this to my attention, and you’ll never know how much, because not only did it take me this long to finally feel free plus easy on myself, just as I am, but I have also discovered the reason why I stay around, alive & kicking… because there are people around that I will honour, protect, care for & love up until my dying day & had I not clicked on my August 2009 blog entries today, I would not have felt even more firm in my beliefs. What else can I say here except that luv sux 😛

I am glad you are still around, alive and kicking!!! Living for people you care for, as well as yourself, is a wonderful thing! Not many people have a lot of people that they deeply care for, so cherish them forever!

Remember that no matter what horrible things you have went through in the past, you are not a victim but a survivor 🙂 ❤

Another piece of my writing that I thought I should share with you. Let me know what you think!!!
